One Hit Wonder
Well let's try this one more time. Thanks to the generosity of WATYF our song is back online again. I must say I am continually amazed by this place called homerec.com. Not only is WATYF hosting the song on his site for me, but I had another offer to do the same thing from Emeric, and a wholehearted attempt by Muzeman to help out as well. This is truly a community, and I am honored and humbled to be a part of it.
For those who may have missed the previous 2 threads for this song (
), it is a collaboration that features Steve Hutter (Lt Bob) on sax, and Chuck Umanita (ChuckU) on trumpets. My hats off to both these guys for their talent, and for their willingness to participate in the project (of course, they were handsomely paid for their efforts
).
The song is a cover of How "Bout Us originally done by Champagne in 1981.
I would be most grateful for any and all suggestions on the mix. I have really struggled with this song - for reasons still unknown to me. It's getting close to what I want, but not fully there yet. Thanks in advance for listening.
And props to WATYF, Lt. Bob, ChuckU, Emeric, and Muzeman. You guys are all great.
I think if you click on the above link the song will play. If you want to download it, right click and choose Save Target As. WATYF says the connection might not be lightning fast, but it should get the job done. (And it's certainly better than me playing it over the phone for everyone - which seemed to be my last alternative.)
