yes
I want to make my live show better, by having more effects and sounds. Basically, are these things any good? And if they are recomrnded, would i put them into the effects send or just the regular input? thanks

Yes theyre good! well, they CAN be if you use them right

If youre just using em for effects, stick it in the effects loop.
If your using it as a preamp, just plug it straight into the effects return

The pros and cons on that (in my opinion) would be...

Its good live,
It has some really neat and weird effects.
Depending on the type of music you play, it has some nice chourus and distortions.

I dont like the sound of it to rocord with. now dont get me wrong, its not bad.. and it may jsut be me.. but i just dont like the sound i get when i record with it..

but overall hey.. go for it. its worth the money

You'll hear criticism of them from the tube amp purists, so just get used to that.

I've had a Pod XTL for a few months now, and have used it excusively for recording. With a little work on tweaking the presets, you can get some killer tones. I can't attest to the complete accuracy of the amp or effects models, but suffice it to say that it's a very flexible rig with an abundance of available sounds.

Hmm. I really want one. I hope its worth the dough. Is there a delay when switching amps? there was with my old v-amp, and im wonderin if there still is.

I use mine live and for recording. I have never noticed a delay in switching. In fact I bought it because it was so much faster than my old rig that used a midi pedal some effects and an amp. As far as sounds, I always get some decent stuff. The chorus of this track was done on my xtl. I layers some dirty sounds, and then added a clean sparkle for added fullness.
