New features that Sonar 3 should have....
Firstly, I was just wondering if anyone has sent an e-mail to Cakewalk about it. I thought there were a few good suggestions in there:
- Rack for Effects
- Integrated VST-wrapper/VST support
- Surround mixing
- Routing Virtual Mains to one, final Main
- Options for Metronome. Using MIDI and/or audio
- Flag you can set on audio and midi clips so that they will loop until forever, or they hit something else in the track.
- Painting waves as being recorded
- Less noise when moving envelopes while in playback
- 3 sweepable band EQ and compressor/gate on each track (maybe just the EQ?)
- clip meters that tell you how far you actually clipped by (like in Sonic Foundry software)
- Split faders on VMains when using external mixers 4 busses = 8 tracks
- Busses handled like plug-ins - insertable anywhere in the effects chain
- Bundled Frequency Analyzer
- Extended routing capabilities (like Reasons back-view
- Logics Freeze capabilities, ie applying the effect to the file instead of processing on playback that is fully reversable
- Track Sheets
- Vmain to Vmain assignments or 4 dedicated external effects loop
- Option of applying an effect to a track when recording and recording the wet signal.
- Double click zoone and edit mode on wave files.
- Input monitoring even when not recording
- Full version of LiveSynth
- Groupable tracks that can be minimized/maximized and otherwise manipulated as a unit
- Multiple punch-in points
Secondly, Do you think Cakewalk would consider this or not? I'd love to know if there were developers from Cakewalk looking at this site
