Yep, I can listen to it to. In fact I just did! :D It sounds real good--and I like the drums in my face like that. Nice job Eddie, Greg & Gorty!

(P.S. I just PM'd you about the next project...)

Sounds pretty good dude. I forgot all about this song. ;)

My cymbals sound kind of washy, but that's not your mix. It's the way I had my room set up at that time. :o

My only nit is Gorty's outro solo. It's great, but it's behind the music a little. Like his tracks not lined up with everything else. Try nudging it forward a little and see if it locks in better.

I got it and answered it! Thanks for the listen! :D
Sounds good mate!!
I too also like having the drums in ya face....:)
Thank you!

I had that problem before. I think I may have it starting a beat too early. When I sent him the track to record the solo, all I sent was the outro.:o

I'll go back and nudge it and post an update in a couple days.

The intro guitars remind me of George harrison's 1st solo stuff.
Drum are well placed.
The BVox come in in a swirling Queen style.
Nice to hear Gorty again - he was gaining mythic or Clayton's status due to his hermitage.
Nice work Eddie.
Oh - & Mr Srat - I really enjoyed YASBTMe - what a terrific intro arrangement - came on all Sgt Peppers & then dropped into the drive gear for the git melody - big surprise - & the reprise of the intro arrangement then all the anticipation of waiting & wondering how you'd deal with that last note - & well worth the anticipation too.
Sorry Eddie - back to yours.

Thanks, Ray. I am going to revisit the solo at the end. I don't understand why the solo sounds like it's behind the beat. Maybe I have been listening to it in the wrong spot so long that I got used to it. :o

I can listen to it, too. The mix is great. Everything's right where it should be, as far as I can hear.

Get a real drummer in there, and you're all set. :D :D :D

J/K. Greg sounds awesome, as usual, as do all the instruments.

Cool...sounds nice and full. Did this one make the rounds a few months ago without real drums? If so, what did you have for drums before? These sound great. Nicely balanced mix I think. Good job Rokket!:D

I definitely hear the odd timing thing with the lead vs the rest on the outro...but it is close.

Thanks, coming from you that really means a lot. Between you and Greg, the bar is set pretty high for musicianship and mixing around here!

I am working on the lead. I wish Gorty would pop in and send me the scratch track with his solo on it so I could compare.

The mix I submitted before had the same instrumentation as this one. Greg did the drums several months ago. I have just stepped up from wannabe AE to wannabe producer, and I have learned how to put a high sheen polish on my turds. ;)

The song has been updated. I think everything should be lined up now. I nudged the solo a bit and it sounds locked in now. I also edited the backing vocals to what they originally were.

Any comments are welcome.

Sounds pretty good Rokket, I think I would like the Bass guitar a touch louder to lock better with the kick drum. And the solo is still not quite right, it's just off enough to bug me-all the notes are there but sync is still off.....:(

I recommend you try a priceless plug-in........Melodyne, it changed my life.

I don't really care if I can't sing well. I get someone else to sing my better songs. I just like to record and mix. I'm not trying to be a pro. It's a hobby.

But thanks anyhow.

I can't get it right...

Is it behind or ahead of the beat?

Updated for the last time. If it's not right now, it won't ever be...

Just listened to it, the mix sounds great IMO, I dig the Backing vox effect you did, its just awsome.
Great Beats from Gergles, top notch.
Nice soloing by Gorty as well.:)

This defenitly is a keeper:cool:

To my ears the solo is behind the beat by a fraction of a second-did Gorty not send a full track to you, or only the solo segment itself???

I only sent him the outro section. I don't have it any longer, and when he sent me the solo, it was only as long as the outro. I remixed it. Did you get a chance to listen to the final mix?

I nudged it ahead a hair, and took the reverb off it. He has a delay on the track, so maybe that was causing some of it.
