I saw that although I TRY to be different I too often let my love for Mike Diesels beats take over... I need to be original and let the next generation come in as an entire new breed

Good observation!
I think that is a good thing.......It's very good when you can sit back, re evaluate yourself, and critique yourself. You know what you want to accomplish, now just find your direction. You already have a firm foundation in the game, now it looks like your maturing as well!

I have one more thing to say and i will get off my soapbox. If you have ever looked back at artists histories. The only artists that survive are the ones who re-invent themselves. Prince, madonna, r kelly, snoop, dr dre, these folks have more than 20+ years of experience all rolled up together.

If you look at there careers individually you will see that they don't do stuff that everybody else is doing.. that's why we love them.. cause they are different. They keep us wanting more new stuff... Yeah... they like to mix in some commercial appeal.. to blend in with the times.. but you can never say they copied anything from anybody who's currently out now.

this is a sweet ass thread.

I've gotten to the point where I don't even turn the radio on anymore. Most of things I hear there, either it sounds a whole lot like the song that just got played, or it was a pretty cool song to begin with, until they played it like 5-6 every hour. maybe it's just cincinnati, I don't know.

I listen to more radio shows on the internet now. The only thing I use my actual radio for is reds games

iono wut i been doin but this is the first time i actually peeped you beat on here noddy (my bad), but thats a nice beat and you and gully is doin it on this one so keep it up and lets get a finished product. now onto what this thread has turned into......when i look at my own beats i often grade them on a scale of 1-10 and i've never creted anything (in my eyes) better than a 6, but i also see that all my beats do not sound like any other produer out there i'm 100% me myself and I...(unless ya'll hear me soundin like someone else then u need to let me kno so i can compare and change it :D )
