Check out my new song, "They Knew Who You Were" at http://benvega.com

Equipment:
Tascam TM D-1000
RodeNT1
ADAT 20bit
Kurzweil K2500s

Recorded and mixed in a 7hr session

lovely song.

THis is awesome. Much improved over the last post.

I am hearing some kind of edginess in the vocals. Probably due to the rode. The singing is very nice though

I like the piano. I think it could come up a bit though.

By the way, I like the space you created. What reverb are you using?

All around a great song.

mic suggest

Hey, I'm glad you liked that one, I'll see what I can do about raising the rhode level. I used a vocal plate 75% on the onboard effects of the Tascam and Medium hall at 41% for the keys and choir on the Kurz.

I actually Don't really like the RodeNT1. Do you have any suggestions for a mic that would go well with my voice under 1K?

Oh,

by the way, I will not hesitate suggesting a used c414 b-uls for about $450. It will be great on your voice.

there is also a clip on the site I posted, but right here

www.nowhereradio.com/artists/rockpop/jaguarslogic

"god in your eyes" the guitar and vox was the c414b-uls. InMyOpinion, it is a fabulous mic.

wow

I'm very despressed today. Problems with school, work, all, won't tell you all.

Anyway, in this situation I'm now listening to your song.

Got 1 word:

wow.

Thank you for making music, and putting it free on the internet.

It's lovely, wonderful, great.

You're a genius. A GENIUS!

I listened to the lo-fi version and tried to listen
to the hi-fi but was unable to. Do you have a
mp3 available for download?

Listening to the lo-fi version it seems like
you could use a little compression on the
lead vocal. I noticed that you didnt have one
listed in the equipment list. If you are using the
TDM 1000 for tracking vocals you may want to
explore some other options. I had that piece
and just didnt like the mic pre's or the compressor.
These are simply my opinions!

However, I absolutely commend you on what you
seem to have accomplished thusfar. I liked your
website and will probably stop by and listen to
some more of your material.

Keep up the good work!
