THEY - Hard rock... mix ok?

Been playing with this mix for a while.

I'm not happy with the sound of the verse. The guitar gets lost. No, there's no bass playing during the verses.

Overall though, I think it came out pretty decent. Any comments? How's my screaming? I've been practicing a bit.

 
i like it some. maybe could you please turn it down though cause i can't here right out of my ear!!!!! very funny. just joking about it! i like it so much. do you want to chat more about it or not. hey see you later man


ALSO? try to get the mix to sound better. use EQ or reverb on it for starts. GOOD JOB ON IT
 
The guitars are lacking in the mids (1k) department just a tad.
Vox need to be deEssed.
Your scream sounds dandy but it could come up a bit in volume.
Dig the drum programming, you're always so damn good at that shit Matt.

Overall its a good tune just needs some minor adjustments bro.

The guitars do need to come up a bit in the mids. I like the screams, they are not over the top, and fit with the song well.
I would love to have your skills with the drum programming (the first time I listened, I didn't realize they were programmed, so take that FWIW...)
 
WAIT! those drums are programed? like.... with a sequencer?

Yea, the drums are DFH2. Still working on a decent kit mix. Not sure I like the felt mallet. It sounds nice by itself, but in the mix it gets lost.

I can't believe I completely forgot to de-ess the vocals. I'm retarded.

I've spent a lot of time working with the drums. I don't play drums, so it took a while to sort of get decent with it, faking hits and knowing when to use and not to use certain things. I'm not that great at it but it's coming along nicely :)
