They are the best drum head. They can be used for any style of music (not the extreme styles) and nice to tune.
Nice rich deep tone - if you imagine what your perfect drum sound would sound like... chances are you'd achive it with a coated Ambassador.

I'm a recent convert from the studio rings. I found they dampened too much of the resonance but still left some unwanted overtones. Moon gel is my new best friend. I think you won't be disappointed with some well tuned drums and some moon gel to tame the ring. The good part about these is that you can position them exactly where you want and suppress very specific overtones.
