Gold! Theres gold on the freaking fretboard! Great God almighty you think if I ask him nice enough he'll give me one?

Know what,... this is a crazy world, you never know. I'm going to send him an e-mail.

Yeah - Uuummmm... I've never heard $10,000.

The only time I heard (which was about a year ago) they ranged, as said, from $2500-4000.

Honestly, I don't see them coming DOWN in price at all, unless Driskill starts a factory, which seems to go against his ethic. He builds the guitars one by one, completely by himself. He supposedly works something like 16 hours/day, seven days a week. If you call his shop, you'll get him on the phone, and if you order a guitar, you can talk to him about it, and supposedly visit him at his house, where he makes them. The stuff of legends, as they say. :)

They're the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen, hands down. I've thought about one... Hhhhmmmm... Maybe next summer I'll teach two summer school sessions and buy one. :D

life is about people.

music is about sound.

why are we discussing the visuals of a sound generator?

. . . . . . . . .off to play!

=)

Discussion boards are about discussion.

All topics are about opinion,

because music is extremely visual. Frrrrrrrrttt !DUH!

btw about the 10.000 quote... i mailed driskill ones with my own specs and that's what he ended up quoting me... welll not exact but somewhere near the 10k mark... (i did however choose some very nice extra's... (well what the heck if i'm going for that guitar... )
and yes on the news bulletin prices range from 2500-4000 as they say...

oh btw eyes; he gets a lot of email everyday (kids like me trrying to get a custom guitar they can never pay) so i don't think he would be happy reading your mail...

it's one ugly "soundgenerator"...

let's ban the word guitar and only use the word "soundgenerator" we could all be cool!!!

Yes I know that lotsa the zachary's are ugly, but IMO some look really nice.

Yes that DR is AWSOME. Supposedly Zachary's sound extremely good, haven't read a bad review yet.

Ok, I'll take your word for it.
But it still looks like my ass.
And my ass is UGLY, with all the hair and shit. :D

I don't like the that Driskill. I think it looks like a pimp guitar.

Guitar "visuals" seem to be over the top anymore. I think that quilted maple is about the uglyest thing I've ever seen. Just give me an old tobacco sunburst.[

Flamed maple is okay. I just think that quilted maple looks like Walt Disney threw up.

How about this one bird, it doesn't have any quilt.
Not the ax I'd want to be seen playing.

However, I must admit that my Firebird has aploney inlay on the fretboard and I've got an old Krammer with a pearl finish that changes color in the light (blue to purple). But most of my guitars are old and beat up... Kinda like me.

I hear you man but hold your head up high, in the world of guitars you know the best are the "old and beat up"
Nothing else comes close.
