Yes. I also got my 80-8, its DBX, and the speed control up and running last night. No noise from them. Seems like my amp is just a piece of garbage...

LOL. Well, there you have it.. I'm sorry. But it's possible that a good amp tech could remedy the problem. ?

The problem could be a chassis ground, mains or audio, has come adrift or has a bad resistance joint.
