The V-amp is a keeper, I think.

For the tune, I thought the guitars sounded pretty good. Would they sound better from a real amp miced up? I don't know! Had you not said it was a V-Amp, I would have listened differently.

I play through a V-Amp every night and I always feel like there is some dynamic or presence filtered out. I noticed it with this track too--not that it is any way wrong or bad with this track. Playing was good and the tones worked. I'm just kinda anti-modeling for recording in my old age. :D

I'd like to hear the project when its all finished and see how it all sits in the mix.
 
It sounds a little thin - fuzzy - for my taste, but it works in that song. I like the song btw. I dont know anything about the V-Amp, but you can probably EQ it into a fatter sound if you dig around in its settings. That distortion is definately digital sounding.
