Hey DJL,I tried the C1 and the C3 and I didn't like them very much at all..But some do..and the ear of the beholder and all that..But how something is made and whats in it and also where its made...who cares as long as it works/sounds good for you ..Ya know..I would belive that even though these mics are similar if not the same..The big difference is the company that sells you the thing..When/if it sh*ts the bed PMI is gonna be there to help ya out! Where as someone else who knows!Ya gotta look and think to yourself at these prices whats the difference..All these mics sound fairly similar..so a companys service is the is the BIG thing here!So I don't really care for their mics{ones I've tried} but they seem to be right there to help their customers..And that is what tips the scales..

does it matter?......

man this is getting old........

That's nice... but are the Studio Projects B1 mic's just "off-the-shelf" CR1000 mic's from 797 Audio?

Extremely unlikely.
More of a chance a Behringer is really a SSL console. :D

Seriously, Studio Projects is held up to too much scrutiny to ever
do that, and the owner takes too much pride in their products, in any case.

Yeah, but are the Studio Projects B1 mic's really just "off-the-shelf" CR1000 mic's from 797 Audio?

why dont you email Studio Projects or 797 Audio or whoever it is that gives a damn........

how the hell are the jerkoffs that frequent this forum supposed to know the truth?.......

Yeah, but are the CR1000 mic's from 797 Audio really just "off-the-shelf" Studio Projects B1 mic's ?

actually this was my understanding of the situation

Humm, well geez, that some food for thought... so who makes the B1's and CR1000's... 797 Audio or Studio Projects?

DJL:

Why?

Why do you keep doing this?

You remind me of freakin' Rain Man.

Give it up already.

Because I think it matters... because, if the Studio Projects B1 is just an off-the-shelf 797 Audio CR1000 with the Studio Projects name printed on it the Studio Projects http://www.studioprojectsusa.com/why.html sells pitch is all a bunch of crap... and I think that's important to know.

Who cares?
I have a c-1 and i really like it, I recorded a female vocalist last week that went on and on about how much she liked the mic. Her vocal tracks came out very nice with the C-1.

I believe that if anything went wrong with the mic that alan hyatt would stand behind it (not 797 audio)

alan is marketing the stephen paul mic and its not gonna be an "off the shelf" mic....so....get one of those. They are gonna probably go for about $2000.

At around $200 for a microphone who cares whether 797 audio does it.

I for one am glad that 797 audio is turning out microphones that sound pretty good and are cheap.

I wouldn't be able to afford alot of $2000 mics

This thread isn't about Alan, Paul, the C1, cost, Turkish baths, or etc... it's about... is the Studio Projects B1 just an off-the-shelf 797 Audio CR1000 mic or not.

BULLSHIT DJL.........it's just another roundabout attempt by you to find something to nit-pick about without having the intestinal fortitude to go to the most sensible source for an answer.

I tried to hint at the answer in my previous post, but obviously you are too thick to get it, just as you seem too thick to realise that others are finding you tiresome as well.

BTW............don't bother replying.

My question "is the Studio Projects B1 just a off-the-shelf 797 Audio CR1000 mic was stimulated after reading this thread http://www.homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?threadid=99171. Now, you if want to try and turn this thread into another one of your pissing matches ok... but, don't be surprised when I come over and piss on your threads.

For fuck's sake. Give it a rest. This is pathetic. You are losing any and all credibility you once had. It seems like the majority of your posts anymore are bashing Studio Projects. If you don't like them, don't buy them. Let everybody else make up there minds without your constant whimpering about petty details.
