I haven't heard the first mix for a while so I can't compare a/b mixes.

I do recall that the first mix was good and the only thing I was not keen on was the solo part. It still doesn't turn my crank but it does have some creative merit. But I think as also previously mentioned, you either like the solo or not...very few middle grounders.....Actually the whole piece is well crafted and full of great parts. I can tell you have put some thought and work into this. I think it is very impressive overall. Mix is very good...clean and well balanced....

Mystery revealed: The love-it-or-hate-it solo is a factory preset from a Korg Prophecy synthesizer. In playing the part I employed the Korg's modulation tweaking rolling ribbon controlling thingie.

I have to admit it is growing on me with each listen. Hate to say it, but I'm afraid it stays.
