The SM57 as good as an Oktava Condenser???

I was recording some vocals today with 2 mics paired together. The Shure SM57 and the Oktava MK-012. Not to alarm anyone, but there wasn't much difference in clarity. Aren't these condensers supposed to be better than any dynamic mic. Maybe I should do another test with cymbals, since the Oktavas are often used as overhead mics.
Oh well!
