hey guys. I've been wrestling with my SBLive 5.1 for a while, (ever since I got it) trying to get it to work right with sonar.
Supposedly the Live Drive pack driver update from Creative will solve my problem, which is the driver for my card forcing sonar to go into mono mode. So I downloaded this driver update and attempted to install it, which should have been a peice of cake. first it runs a self extraction, all is well. Then it starts up the install wizard, and tells me there is no soundblaster devices on my computer. This of course is just not so.
I go to the control panel to check, everything is there, everything is enabled. on another note, the microsoft wdm for xp is also nowhere to be found. The SBLive was a part of the computer I bought, so I wasn't the one who installed it, but shouldn't that microsoft driver be there? Am I the only one who continually has these problems?
