the right mixer for my soundcard...

okay so ive got a delta omni i/o which which has 4 channels input

im trying to maximize my recording capabilites, i want to be able to record actual bands, which means drums, and more than 4 mics

now i dont know if this is possible, but this is what my dream would be...

id like to have a mixer with about 8 to 16 channels

but i want to be able to send certain channels to certain "out puts" on the mixer

for instance, id like to send two mics that i have micing the snare drum to the first channel input on my soundcard

then id like to send the kick drum mics to a seperate channel on the soundcard,

and the toms and symbols in the same way



i thought ive heard of this being called "busses" so i guess id like 4 busses each with about 2-4 channels



im trying to keep the price under 300 bucks, so if anyone has any suggestions, they are greatly appreciated

Check out the Yamaha mixers - MG12/4, MG16/4.

However you'll still only be able to record 4 tracks with the omni studio
