How does this work.

Say for example I make a beat and put it on soundclick to sale for $50. Somebody is interested in the beat and wants to buy it. What are they buying? The complete rights to the beat, the right to use the beat on their demo album or actually use it for the full rights? How does the process work? hollah at a confused pM..

Further more if I do sell some beats, how do I know the buyer will give me credits for making the beat, do they actually have to? I would appreciate any advice, facts, etc. on this subject, pM

You can either lease the beat for a small fee, or sell the rights (exclusive) to the beat entirely (with a signed contract, etc). If you sell the rights entirely, they don't necesarrily have to give you credits fi the contract states so. If you're a beatmaker and want to get your name out there, you can insert a clause that lets people use the beats for their demo's and promo for free.

Cool. Once soundclick is working properly, I think I will post a few more beats. Im jus tryin to get some feedback from people all over.......................pM, thanx again.

Here is something to look at say i want one of your beats whats the next step. may it easy for them to pay for and get the beat. for example get like a paypal setup and make a whole other site somwhere with the highest quality mp3 you can of the beat. so once payment is made they can download the beat and work out the kinks untill the full wav version arrives registered mail. Thats what i would do if i was selling beats i mean but since i aint i dont lol:D
