The preamp in the firepod?

Would i need a better preamp than the one in the firepod for vocals? Would their be a difference because right now the vocals dont sound as clean and clear as i though it would with a $400 condensor mic or is their some other type of equipment that i need that goes from mic to firepod such as a compressor for sound quality.

Do you like your vox as they are now, "clear" as you mentioned.
If you like it then the answer is no, you dont need another pre.

If you like some more coloration of the sound maybe try something like (dont know your bugdet range) SP VTB1, EH 12ax7, in the cheap department.

Offcourse there are way better pre`s then the firepods, so it all comes down to bugdet.
If you got a few 1000$ to spend, I think you`ll find something that will out do your firepod pre`s.

But again if your like me, and on a bugdet, I say if its workijng dont change it.

Use mony on something else like acoustics, or something.
