My working life is occasionally depressing for a variety of reasons.
The gloom that sometimes sneaks behind my sunnies as I ride home (chugging on my motorcycle along 15 kms of coastal clifftop roads that look out across the Tasman Sea) has been blown away a few times this year by little beams of beautiful music.
2009 has been, thus far, another 1/2 year peppered with some of the best musical spice:
Early in the year the late lamented Turkish prog/psych band Siddhartha sent me their remastered and rereleased 1998 gem Trip To Innerself. I've listened to it at least weekly since then. A lost classic now refound.
A couple of months ago my copies of The Age of Decay arrived and I've spent many happy hours listening to Joe Mizzi strut some of the very best NWOBHM since the NWOBHM.
After a work today replete with a migrain, no morning tea or lunch and finishing with an hour long after work staff meeting I dragged myself upstairs to find a little parcel left by the local postlady!
Snip, snip, rip tear - & in my handwas the new CD from Little Purple Circles. CLOUD - talk about being on cloud 9!!!! Straight to the CD player - on, in, play, sit, listen - ah, bliss. The missus brought me a nice cup of tea & I relaxed inside a CLOUD.
Thank you postie, thank you HR talent bank, thank you wife, thank you LPC!

Thanx Ray! Wish you lots more happy listening to mine and all the other incredibly talented guys here. I'm already in the middle of my next one. It's going to be darker and more old-school. I'll be posting samples soon. ;)
Oh, and you're not half bad yourself...:)
