Ok I lied to get your attention. Sorry.

My REAL question is about interfaces (again). I got some helpful feedback in my last post, but here's what I've narrowed my search down to:

Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 USB Audio Interface at zZounds
Roland UA-55 Quad Capture USB 2.0 Audio Interface at zZounds
Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 USB Interface at zZounds
Focusrite Scarlett 18i6 USB Audio Interface at zZounds

So those four are all in my price-range although, I'm willing to splurge a bit more if there happens to be one out there that blows these out of the water. Here's the catch. I'm upgrading from a FastTrack Pro.....it started giving me some "popping" noises out of my left monitor and sometimes has a mind of it's own - which is leading me away from M-Audio.

Last couple things.... my style of music/recording is mostly rock, I have a Presonus Bluetube preamp that I like a lot and I don't have a need for more than a couple inputs. It's looking like the majority of "most praised" interfaces are loaded with inputs that I'll never use...so it would be like buying gas for a car that sits in my garage.

Thanks for reading this far!

Take care,
Michael

Dam, I thought somebody was going to talk about recording a good band with good sounds in a good room by a good engineer and nobody was going to be able to tell it was on all Behringer gear.

Now I wait for the Behringer haters :eatpopcorn:

Sorry I don't have the answer to the question.

alan.

LOL..thats about it..

Don't know 'bout no Behringer hatin'. I gots a few of their things at home.
Useful stuff, for my application that is.

I *can* vouch for the Focusrite Scarlet 8i6. Good interface. Easy to use.

Sigh... :(

OK...

Here we go...

Behringer sucks... :spank:

Satisfied?

That focusrite interface is nice. I use the pro40 which seems like it's more than you need, and double the price. But, I like the focusrite stuff.

Don't know anything about the NI interface. I would guess it works will with their software, but I would tend to shy away from it just because I haven't heard anything about it and I do know some of the others are really nice.

On your list the Focusrite is great!

Oh, and don't ever lie to me again!!! :)

Yeah man!!! ☼ -- ☼ Only politicians can lie. You know this to be true for most politicians say that Behringer gear is good.
