Ok I lied to get your attention. Sorry.
My REAL question is about interfaces (again). I got some helpful feedback in my last post, but here's what I've narrowed my search down to:
Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 USB Audio Interface at zZounds
Roland UA-55 Quad Capture USB 2.0 Audio Interface at zZounds
Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 USB Interface at zZounds
Focusrite Scarlett 18i6 USB Audio Interface at zZounds
So those four are all in my price-range although, I'm willing to splurge a bit more if there happens to be one out there that blows these out of the water. Here's the catch. I'm upgrading from a FastTrack Pro.....it started giving me some "popping" noises out of my left monitor and sometimes has a mind of it's own - which is leading me away from M-Audio.
Last couple things.... my style of music/recording is mostly rock, I have a Presonus Bluetube preamp that I like a lot and I don't have a need for more than a couple inputs. It's looking like the majority of "most praised" interfaces are loaded with inputs that I'll never use...so it would be like buying gas for a car that sits in my garage.
Thanks for reading this far!
Take care,
Michael
