I did these this afternoon. I am a firm believer in "mistakes". My musical goal is to be so relaxed that I have no idea where I am going. To some it may sound "wrong" but to me that is where the real gold is in playing music. Over rehearsed tight as a drum songs sound sterile to me just as sloppy/lack of technical ability sounds irritating. I want it to sound like you are sitting in my living room and live in the middle of these two concepts. This feel is what I experienced onstage with guys like lightning hopkins. they were constantly going "wrong" but their sense of rhythm made it all work with groove and tension. I follow the groove and often times get lost, ahead or behind it. It is a fun challenge to mess with time while the underlying groove is steady. Walter

Young & Trying...
Walter, nice groove & good recording of the Spontobeat kind.
What are you using for the trem on the bass strings?
Good to hear your voice again.

Hi Rayc: thanks for listening! The tremelo is from a princeton reverb reissue amp. I play the bass strings with my thumb and the higher ones with my index finger. I also added some UA plate reverb to it and the whole mix. Walter
