hi everyone
currently recording this guy who's vocals are beyond nasally. i've read the few threads about nasally vocals, but his seem to be out of control. i've asked him to work the mic better, that doesn't solve the problem. it goes from somewhat quiet to earpeircing clips. what the hell should i do? thanks

but seriously, i am going close to taking your advice. its frustrating, it makes me look bad, but it never dawns on someone that they might be at fault.

Teach him a few Willie Nelson songs and make the best of it.

Put the mic at eye level.

Try changing mics. Maybe you will find one that won't pick up those frequencies as much.

Get him to stand back more from the mic.

Stick earplugs up his nose.

Then punch him in it.
