the m1's

anybody using the alesis m1 monitors? i record rap and need a pair..iv never used monitors before...right now i have a logitech 5-1 system,...but im selling it..iv heard good things about the m1's..anybody have an experiance....any suggestions would be great
 
Yes, I have a pair of the original, passive Monitor Ones. I love them. I have had them for prolly 10 yrs or so. Of course, I also have the Yamaha NS-10's and the obligatory Auratones as well.
 
I have the original passives too. I want adam's. That's all I'll say cause bruce may want to say something. Hee! Hee!

well i was thinking more about the actives...i dont feel like spending a grip for a reciver...
 
Monitor One MKIIs

I 've had a pair of passive Monitor One MKIIs for 3+ years; I like them alot. I've got them matched to the Alesis RA-300 amplifier and they sound really good. For the price they are a good value (or were), I haven't priced them against anything else recently. I would probably recommend the active version though to simplify things, and guarantee proper amplification and flat-frequency response.
