i recorded this song of my friend playing yesterday. one guitar. one take. she's pretty good i think haha. critiques welcome.

Yeah, she is. I almost wanna' say the lowest string on the guitar (playing an A flat) is slightly out of tune, which is a shame, but it's not crazy out of tune. The piece is interesting...did she write it, or is this some famous guitar thing that guitarded people like me don't know but should?

What did you use to record it?

its an original piece she played. i used a studio projects B1 mic going through a Zoom R16 interface into cubase. Little reverb and eq. wanted to record with another mic to get a bit more stereo in the mix but only had the one mic with me at the time.

Pretty good for one mic. Are you running a studio? Or is this just for friends?

well i got my own "studio" but i did this in my friends garage/reheasal space then mixed it back at my place. not that a single mic required much mixing haha.
