Hi everyone!

I just finished recording my latest assignment "The Last Rose of Summer" used by Friedrich von Flotow in his opera "Martha", which premiered in 1847 in Vienna. We use a neighbor's beautiful garden and gazebo for the filming location.

The song is from a poem by Irish poet Thomas Moore. The poem is alluded to in the Grateful Dead song "Black Muddy River".

Nice song, nice voice.

A few quick questions:
I take it you are pursuing this as a career?
Is the music playing a band you hired or is it a recording?
Was this was done with friends (camera, video editing, mixing, etc) as a hobby project or is this professional?

Thanks for sharing.

Yes DM60, I am pursuing this as a career.

I live in the US and have a singing teacher in Paris, France. We do all classes through e-mail. I like it because it really makes the student try harder to learn. Every video I make is a lesson chosen by my teacher. As a part of learning on the internet I post my assignments and receive feedback from forum members as a kind on recital. I've been doing this for about 2 years.

My teacher also chooses the appropriate recording track for the purpose of the lesson. So the answer that I always us a recording. I do all my voice recording myself once I have the instrumental.

All my videos have been made by my parents using a camcorder and Adobe Premiere. Hopefully the videos are getting better. :)

Thank you for your interest. :)
