Been working on some music for my Tunacock concept album...this is a instrumental so far....I have not added any Tunacock dialogue to the mix yet...(I may not at all...haven't decided yet..)
Wondering how the mix sounds so far...really tried to get good sounds right at tracking ...not much if any eq/compression type effects on this as of yet....any thoughts much appreciated...

The snare might be a tad loud.
Nice puchy mix for minimal fx/comp

Nice job Q...great guitar sounds. The mix is very good but not sure about the (?)synth sound. Kinda hard to follow the harmonization at that point but it could be the fault of my cheap PC spkrs. Still pretty exciting stuff that rocks out.

:p:p Ha! I Love that Ray....that might make a great spoken word intro to the song! Noted about the drums/snare...will address it when I remix later today!

Thanks for the feedback chazba....everything is done with guitar/bass guitar, the harmonization part is done with my strat, 2 tracks, playing the same part in different octaves...used the same patch on my podxtl, for both, and have not done any eq yet so maybe that would help.....

Happy new years Que-man! Great tune to kick off the new year with. The playing and tune sounds excellent. Real tight and intense, but also showing a bit of the tunacock's funky side too. Sounds real good on my surround system, only nit is that maybe the drums are a bit thin, maybe try bringing up the low end/kick on them a bit more. Awesome, good luck completing the tunacock's adventure! :cool::cool:
 
Cool tune...I like it and have no nits at all:D Don't take this the wrong way but, it kinda reminds me of the background music in the first level of the original Doom.......:D
 
Dude, the rhythms and the lead sound really good. The playing is pretty top calibur. The runs and shreds are pretty cool.

The muted rhythm section is pretty cool. The doubled solos rock!

And what Jay said about the soundtrack to Doom....or Duke Nukem...kinda has a vibe like that...killer stuff man...:D

Hey Snake, a happy new yearz to u 2! Man, for some reason, I am really struggiling with the drums on this one as far as getting a warmer fuller sound...still working on it....thanks for the listen!

Ha! I think that game has left subliminal scars on my psyche! Played the hell out of all 3 original dooms, and always thought the music was perfect for the creepy atmosphere of the game...thanks for checking it out!

Hi dog! Yeah, duke nukem was another one I spent alot of time with...those were the days :p! Thanks man!
 
Mix sounding good here. The tune is cool, although the guitar that 1st comes in at .30 sounds funny to my ears. Maybe it will sound different with vocals. Nice wah!
 
I love the playing on this tune! Very impressive - nice mix which needs very little more if anything IMO....:D:):D:)
 
I like the bass sound where it punctuates the first two eighths of each measure in the opening section, and where that part returns later.
 
Bulls hit: That is my Strat doing a dive with the Floyd around :30 that I think your talking about, maybe its a pitch thing? Thanks for listening!

XLR - Thanks about the Bass, I was pretty happy with the tone I got for the bass guitar on this, and tried to play something kinda interesting.Thanks for checking it out!
