I've been writin for a long time but just got into recording and am trying to build a lul studio going. I have a Behringer Eurorack UB802 Mixer how would i hook it up to the computer?

Your only option is to get a cable called a 'Y Cable'. This takes 2 stero inputs and puts it into one mono input.

Then you plug the stereo end into the Main Out of the mixer and then the other end you will need to plug into a 1/4" Jack -> 1/8" Jack adapter and then into the "Line-In" port of your sound card

is it still goin to have a decent sound and the power from the mixer or just the power from the sound card

why not get a behringer uca202. It's around $30, or so, has low latency, and probably will be of greater quality than the onboard sound card. The get 4 rca-rca cables, and connect your monitors to the outputs of the desk.

Wat about gettint an Alesis mixer that plugs into the USB port on the computer instead of hooking up directly to the sound card

But if he already has a mixer, why not just upgrade the sound card, like i suggested. Ok, the alesis will probably be better quality etc, but it's hell of a lot more than $30 for the behri uca202
