Didnt hear the first version, but sounds quite good. The kick drum is muffled, there isnt enough punch or click. I am liking the snare sound although too quiet in the mix.

Cymbals sound nice apart from the china. But thats because i dont like chinas.

Bass tone is cool. Maybe try compressing the lo a wee bit at mastering?

Nice chunky guitars. Please tell me you used a real amp and not a software programme.

Vocals sound fine. Clear and not overpowering but still easily distinguishable.

Good stuff overall Giraffe. Wish i could get guitar tone like that.

maby is time to bring up kick? it's right on the edge so i'm not sure
snare=hat bleed :(
china=wuhan, and it really sticks out amonxt his zildjin Z's don't it.

bass=yahama something-peavy something-re27(hi cut engaged)+sans amp di

gits=amps
old gibson something fender princton sm57+rodent2a (both close) (L)
epiphone sg washburn something e609+at4033 (both close) (R)
time spent on mic placement

some sections have more gits than others
thanks man :)

Pheww there was i thinking you maybe used them fake guitars! well fake tone anyway. Glad to hear you like to "keep it real" Giraffe. Impressed that the abss was through a Peavey of all amps! Could be the Sans amp making it sound nice though.

do the gits sound ok?
did i suck out to many lo mids?

yes, the peavy, not awsome amps but they'll get the job done.

Guits sounded awesome till I read your "lo-mid" question. It's only some of the guitar parts that sound a bit too cut. The other parts sound great.

Good sound overall. :D

What about a limiter stuck on that bad boy so you can boost the level of the kick track without it going "over the edge"?
