sounds pretty good to me. there's a strange "edge" to everything that keeps it from totally mixing well together, at least for me. i wouldn't be surprised to hear this song on the radio around here!

Nice song Jay, it's a cool kicking country rocker! I would bring up the bass just a bit, the kick is just a bit louder-I like them to match volume wise.

For the chorus part I would like to hear a lap steel or a dobro to fill it in. It's very good as is though!

Nice song, man.
Vocals need to be a bit louder in the verse at times, you can fix that with compression. Very good performance overall but the neding could be better without fading out.

thanks for all the comments....did a little remix...same link as in the op. having all kinds of trouble with the volume envelopes, they work just fine in the program but, when I render to a wav file, the levels are all over the place.

Nice remix. Personally I'd add a little tweak boost at 3khz for the bass so it's not quite so married to the bass drum.
