I want to buy recording and play sound card that I can afford with a low budget (below $160), I got a:

PIV 2.4 GHZ
HD 7200R 120GB
512MB DDR
Gigabyte Motherboard GA-PE667
WIN XP, cool edit pro...

What do you people suggest???...tanxs!!

Saving up about another $500. Seriously.

Check out the Echo Mia on e-bay. I saw a few for really cheap. I have one, and it works great. Unless you need more than 2ins/2outs, it should fit your bill. Audiophile 24/96 also gets good reviews on these forums. Maybe there's some of those on ebay as well . . .

You can get the Audiophile 2496 on newegg.com for $120 which is an excellent deal. If you don't need MIDI, then go for the Delta 410 (on newegg for $110!!) which I believe gives you 4 analog ins and 4 analog outs along with S/PDIF ins and outs.

the audiophile gives 4 analog ins and 4 analog outs, but.. any digital? i got a boss gt6 multieffects with digital & midi out... is there really such a huge difference between digital and analog recording so that I better buy a soundcard with digital input???

Any suggestions would be great!

no, the audiophile has 2 analog ins, 2 analog outs, midi in, midi out, spdif digital stereo in, and spdif digital stereo out.

sorry sorry

2 i/o ok ok!¡? I would really appreciate you to give me specific information about the rest of my post....thnx!!...
