Now, having explained this to you, I will add that most everyone on these forums are probably using pirated software. Only a few are dumb enough to admit it. The ones who act high and mighty about it are probably the ones with tons of it on their computers. Everyojne knows that no one from these boards can come and see what's on your computer, so if being honest doesn't cost you anything, you might as well go all the way. So, when I see other posters coming here and saying how horrible others are for using cracked software, I get the feeling they are the ones using it most. A guilty man proclaims that he is innocent louder than the truly innocent. Hell, everyone on this site could have 90 percent cracked software on their computers, and there is no way to find out who has what, so why not proclaim you have none and look down on those who admit they do as horrible law-breakers?

Jeff

And that's a very ignorant paragraph. Ther are plenty of use who do not use pirated softare, don't paint the world wit5h your colour.

Some of us actually make a living from writing software and take this seriously. If you want to debate this, there are threads about doing exactly that. I don't want to hijack thius thread but I could not let that statement go unchallenged.

ssscientist: I don't know what's up with you dude. It's called another producer helping someone out, that's why he sold them to me.
No, that's software piracy. There are NO other terms for it

On a final not, I don't have any cracked software on my PC, and I think anyone who does is a low-life crook. Man, that makes me feel better to let everyone know how honest I am. It's a shame that everyone can't look at my computer so that I could proove how honest I am (hahaha)

No, I'm not accusing, this just made me laugh. Maybe you were trying to be funny in which case, my laugher is not misplaced. :D

Let me clear this up for you dukes.

A local producer burned the other things for me on disc for half price. Which he is legit, he has the disc to everything so that's how I got the rest......

So, please...think before you start running off at the mouth and things should go a little smoother for you fellas.

I bet, he'd really be glad you didn't give his name, address, and phone number as well.

I'm the only person he did this for. He seen that I was trying to come up so he helped in a way. I could've bought it from Guitar Center but I didn't. A few little softwares shouldn't hate a multi-billion dollar company. I didn't plan to get the software, I was going to get them from Guitar Center but he made an offer and I wasn't going to say no. What I look like? Because I know 90% of you dudes wouldn't done the same thing I did if you have the opportunity. I've worked for every piece of hardware and software that I own. I've invested a lot of money to my music. I buy everything straight from the store and not ebay. This was the first time I did this so why make a big deal out of it.

Y'all make it seem like my purchase from the guy shut the company down. There's people out buying software everyday so they aren't losing money. Yeah, it might have been illegal but you can't say you haven't once broken a law. We all make mistakes, it's normal. And when you look at the the software that I got from him aren't really that much, I bought the high price software right out of Guitar Center and at online stores. I know some of you probably sent one of your boys or someone software through AIM.

Basically, this whole thing just got out of hand and it shouldn't have went to where it is now.

See what I mean? You probably have a ton of it on your PC, Homer. And if you don't, good for you, but saying there are "Plenty of us" seems a bit naive

How did you challenge it? You didn't prove you have no pirated software? You *SAID* you don't have any. That's exactly what I was talking about.

Jeff

If this Jay Little guy steals software in the manner he described...I wonder how he could be aquiring his hardware units?Armed robberies?Does he kill people?Or does he peddle drugs to support his "musical career"?

Again, disingenious rationailzation for lack of personal morals. I don't buy this bs for a second.

I need prove nothing to you or anyone else - what *I* do should have nothing to do with your personal integrity or anyone elses. that is what true integrity is.

Unfortunately, that just points out out what I find very wrong in many people's worldviews currently.

Like I said, your computer is probably loaded with it.
