Serious wanking dude. That first little burst, is mighty cool. Second solo is hot. You got to do something with the vocals. You hid them too much. You need to find a way to make them more "IN" the mix. I read as it played, and those are great. The story is plain entertaining. I'd say you did too many drugs when you were young, but you are still young... :D
Nice interlude at about 3:45. Solo at 4:20 is pretty slick. Cool tempo changes. Definitely not boring song. Tons happening. Very cool ending.

Dude, that was just plain old entertaining. Fix the vocals. They just need to be heard better. Do you compress them at all? Eq? Just needs a bit of tweaking, as that's some fun shit. I REALLY enjoyed it.

This is like an epic tune for sure....a true story tune. We could use more of this genre. I really would pull the vocals out a bit more cause if you're not reading them you have a hard time understanding them. Awesome - very well played and other than upping the vocals the mix is cool......That Mike sounds cool too....
 
I forgot to add, the harmonica was a cool addition.

Dogman, there's a few things going on there. For the first chapter it's Mike and I on different channels, for the third we're singing together in one recording, and the fourth it's me recording acoustic and vocals at the same time. I probably had the mic too close to the guitar and not me. I haven't compressed them at all, just used a bit of EQ so I'll try out a few things out.... try to get them in the mix better.

hehe, thanks about the harmonica, maybe I'll switch my main instrument from guitar to harmonica now ;)

If you have the vocal tracks seperate, just try and compress them a bit, and use some eq to get a bit better sound. Then you should be able to bring them up in the mix a little. Sure wouldn't hurt, as teh story is a big part of this tune.

Thanks man ;) , I'll give that a try and update it tomorrow since I don't want people to have to have a lyric sheet to follow.

Ya gottz to give Dan credit though, it's not easy to step on a 20 foot roach!

Hey guys, I was messing around with the vocals for the first chapter and updated the file. I'm not sure if this fits just right yet, but it's clearer for sure. I brought up the volume, worked some EQ, did some compression.

Sounds a bit better to me. Starting to sound a bit more complete.
 
That's better - the vocals on the first verse are clearer in the mix now. Man this is a great tune - lots of cool things going on...must have taken a while to put this one together..... Sort of reminds me of a mix between Tales of Brave Ulysses and Tomb Raider video game stories :D

This is the funniest stuff I've heard since the epic battle between categgs/cloneboy!

Could have been recorded on a radio shack cassette, and I still would have loved it!!!

this is great.. and possibly the most interesting song concept ive ever heard. I like the acoustic in this song, it adds a cool vibe. Was laughing alot with this one, good stuff man. Great leads and stuff as usual. Love the idea of the song. If im not mistaken i heard a vocoded "woof" in there, that made me laugh.

Yeah I've written a lot of dorky stories and I've recently been trying to mix the two into story songs. This was one of my first tries so I'm glad you guys enjoyed it, I'll definitely try some new ones sometime soon :D

Gbav, yep Alien dog returns! and "woofs" when I pull out the onion of power. He doesn't like that too much, it sends him flying across the room.

Ido, the song actually just kind of wrote itself over time. It's an acoustic tune I've played for people for over a year, over time it kept changing and things kept getting added. So when I wanted to do an actual recording things went very smoothly.

Man, that kicks some ass. Very interesting. I love all the tempo changes. Nice playing all around. Good job with the drums. The whole theme to this is outstanding. Entertainment at it's best. Good job.

Thanks Noisybob! I recorded this on thanksgiving after a long week so I just had a lot of fun with it, that's good it translates to quality entertainment for others too :D

Yeah, I'll definitely try some more like this sometime soon ;)

Been meaning to check this track out long time ago, just been very aaaaaaaaaaaaaattchooooooooo sick lately, freakin cold weather and stuff.
Has given me a cold, that wouldnt go away.
But this track really gets me in a brighter mood man, really cool.
Really makes me itching for some jamming good rock`n roll. :cool:

epic tune snakedog!Kinda reminds me of the viloent femmes with the acoustic guitar&bass....cool lead guitar.And that harp and barking!Way cool!!
