Where can I get one for my Camel?

Seriously though, I'm trying to figure out how to get a snapshot of my screen to add in as a link or attachment to a thread like this one NWDUFFER put in my thread:
http://www.72mm.com/paul/playback.gif

The only way I know to get anything of that sort is to hit print screen than paste it somewhere, but where? This would be really helpful in explaining a situation whereas I'm new to this PC recording gig and a lot of the terminology.

Hit printscreen and then open up microsoft paint or any other image editor and select paste.

Hey rats,

Here's a couple of pointers.

First of all, there is a way to just capture the active window in stead of the entire screen. You can accomplish this by holding down the ALT key and then hitting the print screen button.

The next step is to open pc paint and paste it in there. Once it's in pc paint you can resize and tweek to your liking.

Peace
Joe

Testing out to see if it works....

yo.. and further more... if you upload said file to somewhere...then in SOME forums (NOT this one) you can insert the pic by typing...

blah.jpg

and it'll stick it right in.

To further elaborate, when you capture a whole screen (with PrintScrn key) or a window (with Alt-PrintScrn) you are copying the image into the Windows "clipboard", an area of memory. From there you can paste it into any program that supports a bitmap image (.BMP file). This includes Paint as well as Wordpad.
Typically the last image into the clipboard is the only one you can paste out, so you need to do one at a time.
There is a system tool in Windows called Clipboard viewer. It doesn't install by default, but you can add it by going into Controll Panel / Add Remove Programs / Windows setup.
