ummm .... drums sound kinda muffled to me ..... vox is a bit too loud IMO but I have no idea what you had to work with.

Hiya, Boob! I'm doing rather well, thanks for asking.
Hope you're the same. I uploaded the wrong mix. I don't think the vocals are any quieter, but the drums and guitars are slightly higher in the mix. This was a live multitrack from the desk, not recorded by us.

I think it sounds pretty good for a live recording. The vocals aren't the best though. Could they be removed and over-dubbed elsewhere?
The band sound pretty good and the mix isn't bad. I can hear everything nice and clear.
Great tune to cover though.

I agree the vocal performance wasn't stellar, but it live and it's a fun dance tune. I enjoyed it. Sound like a party I want to go to.

The vocal performance isn't that bad. Yeah he's out of gas, but whatever. It's live. You guys are really good. I'd get a real kick out of seeing your band. Classic punk covers done well is a rare treat. Sounds just like the real thing. Nice guitar playing Bubba Sensible.
I think the mix is pretty good. I don't know how the kit was mic'd, but more "overhead" presence would be nice if you got it. The hats and crash cymbals are a little lost. Otherwise I think this is a pretty good live mix

Looking through the tracks, there is nothing labelled as "O/H" or anything similar. I'm pretty sure the kick and snare are mic'd twice as there seem to be two tracks for each with very different characters sound-wise. I've soloed every track and found nothing that identifies itself obviously as an ambient kit mic, which is a shame.
Anyway, this will probably be my last posting of songs from this gig, I'm just finding it to be an incredible source of mixing practice, and I genuinely think I'm getting better, as do my band mates as I share the mixes with them. They can hardly believe it's us, which qualifies them as a success in my book.
I owe a great debt to everybody who's commented and offered their advice. It's sometimes been contradictory and certainly different to my own opinion at times, but every comment has made me listen more and more critically to every instrument. Loving it, chaps.

Sounds like a good mix given the circumstances and rates alongside your Neat Neat Neat treat.
A good chance for the band to listen & self critique as well. The singer'll need some puff execrises and to give up the gaspers I suppose.

Hi, thanks very much. Yes, it's my band, and I play lead guitar (right-hand side). I used about ten of the recorded tracks. Cock Sparrer aren't really the kind of band we cover. I always suspected them of having far-right leanings, or at least some of their fans did.

Ha ha, yes. He's not a very tuneful singer at the best of times and he's much worse if the monitors aren't very good. On the other hand, he's a very, very good frontman.
It was a cracking PA out front that night, but the monitors were rubbish. Far worse than the ones we have when we're providing our own pa.

Cock Sparrer aren't really the kind of band we cover. I always suspected them of having far-right leanings, or at least some of their fans did.
I don't know anything about their fans or who they vote for, but I've had the "Shock Troops" album since I was a kid (early-mid '90s) and I love it. There's nothing far-right about the lyrics. If anything, I'd say the songs that you could interpret as having some political bent to them (like "Watch Your Back") are left-leaning. But I'm no politician, I just like good rock & roll
