The Cruel Sea is the name of a quite successful Australian band who had 2 formats - one with vocalist (Tex Perkins) & another as an instrumental band.
Strange coincidence eh?

Hey bigmahon, thanks, glad you like it.

I hope you like the older surfing instrumental stuff, I have more to post so check back. I grew up listening to the Ventures and others and I have a soft spot for that stuff.

The amp is at the top of this page and I used strat #1 on the same page.
SM57 mic into a M-Audio firewire solo sound card.
All tracks recorded to wav files using Mixcraft by Acoustica.

I usually switch the rear humbucker into high powered single coil mode and turn the volume way down on the Guitar . I have a 500P cap across the volume pot to keep the tone real clean when the volume is turned down.

The amp is set about 7 or 8. It's a pretty clean Fenderish 2 x10 combo amp. Think 40+ watts into 2 x10 jensen re-issues.
