Well, like the couple of other songs I've heard from you, this is a catchy little instrumental. Short enough that it doesn't get boring. Not long enough to really constitute a fully realized song. Well played. I really would like some more bass on this. I can barely make out the bassline with my sub cranked. The guitars could be a little beefier, too. The are just all fuzz with no muscle. What are you mixing on (monitors)? Either they are giving you a false impression of the bass, or your room sucks worse than mine. Hit me with that bass, dude!

Scrubs - I'll take what you said about the lack of bass into account when I seriously mix this. I didn't make the best decisions right after tracking loud drums and guitars, that's for sure. I'm using my friend's 5150 head/Marshall cab and micing with a 57 but I haven't been getting the results I'd hoped for. I only really cut frequencies from the guitar tracks, so that would explain the lack of beef. I'm mixing on Yorkville YSM1p monitors in a pretty damp sounding basement. The wall opposite the monitors is a good 15-20 feet away. I wonder how much this affects how I perceive the low end...?

The snare sounds a bit too fat. I would cut some low-mid from it. The kick click is way overdone but I always think that.

Listening. Agree on the snare. Too loud and maybe too fat around the middle f.range. More bass needed. Some more effects on the guitar? Hard to judge this as a tune. As an instrumental it lacks a theme too me. 2 chords that keeps on changing like that doesn't make it much of a tune. Place some vocals on it? Half the length of the "intro".

I like this version better than the first. The bass drum hits harder, but I still can't hear the bass guitar. Every once in a while I catch a hint of it, which sounds cool, but I still want more. Fun song, though.
