probably has alot to do with what you're trying to record.

Many people live by the studio projects line, the marshall v67 is supposed to sound close to the studio projects c1 for about $150.

alot of people either go with the rode, studio projects or audio technica.

A few people have posted very results with the 3035. Search around for clips comparing many of those models and decide for yourself. i think you'll find an overwhelming number of people going with the c1.

good luck,
Brandon

use might want to search for posts similar to yours. it seems like there's post every week regarding the best mic under [fill in the blank].

A best mic?

I just got a C1 and it sounds beautiful- but my voice has a good deal of low end to it and I've having trouble getting the C1 to cut through a thick mix without some serious cutting in the low end. Sounds great in a sparse tune. Makes the guitar sound nice, but keep it away from the soundhole, etc...

Each mic will have a list of uses like that. The best mic depends on what you are doing and how you want it to sound.

Try the search function. *Small* chance its been asked here before *once* or *twice*.

I have not heard the Behringer B2 but I know that a few people on this foum are very happy with them. If the new B1 is of similar quality then this should be the bargain of the decade, take a look at its Retail price $129 inc. case shockmount etc.

Not to cofuse the matter more but 8th Street Music has the Audio Technica 3525 for $150,I have one and I like it a lot.

I think you should scratch the Mxl 2002p from your list.I have one and it's very harsh,I think you can do a lt better for your money.

To confuse things even more Studio Projects is coming out with a new B series and a couple of those will fall in the same(or less)price range.

Speaking of the B series I gotta say Damn it Alan!I'm still trying to pay for the rest of my toys and you had to come out with these mics!i don't have any of your mics but I've heard good things, now I guess I'll have to pick one up.It would be bad enough if I spend $100 in a B-1 but the tube mic (BT?)has got my serious attention. :D

Actually, it comes in a box, and the shock mount is extra. The C Series all come in cases with shock mounts. The B1 and B3 come in a colorful box with a zippered bag, filter, and mic clip. The TB1 comes in a case, but no shock mount.

The B Series use a new type of capsule mounting that isolates it entirely from the mic body. It really does not need a shock mount, but we will offer one as an option.
