KSM141 has two patterns. And I built the extremely rare and coveted X-8. Well, I built one. It didn't sound that good, so I didn't build a second . . . So I guess it's not really coveted.

A more important question: Any more info on the X-V? I have a pair each of the original and later MSH-4 mics. The sound reproduction is absolutely scarey (in a GOOD way). The first time I played back a track I remember thinking: "That's what I heard when I was playing it!"

The X-V was delayed because for some reason I decided to pour hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars into the preamp design But (I hope) that is done, and I'm going to try to crank out a prototype batch of X-Vs over the weekend . . .
