The basic plugins i will need?

I actually have the Klajer-however-you-spell-it ones. I was bitching about those "emulations" from that other guy (sexist? - assuming it's a guy).

Yeah, its the Modern plug-ins that suck, the Classic are great (at least for Freeware, not sure how they stack against commercial models).

Correct, you need the FXpansion wrapper. Even then, it doesn't wrap all VST plugins, just most of them in my experience.

Perhaps there are other wrappers as well, but the FXpansion is what I use.

They don't. Nor do they "emulate" the face plates.

If my VariMu sounded like that, I'd send it in for service.

Dang man...sorry for trying to help out...I dont look for free plugs so those were the only ones I knew of off gearslutz!!!!
