The baddest metal lick ever

I know y'all are joking, but I used to spend time thinking about this kind of stuff. The best idea I ever had was to lay a whole bunch of tape down and rig up a record and playback head to two different 'wands.'

I'd "paint" the canvas with the write head, kind of like an exploded mellotron.... then I'd run the read head all over it and see what sounds came out.

But alas I never did it. I really still want to, though.

OK, I stole this from a guy in my hometown. If that's you, you know who you are.

This is what you do: remove the adjustment screws from your neck pickup. Switch to the neck pickup and set your distortion for maximum stun. Play your shreddest lick, and right at the climax, lean forward so the pickup falls forward and the magnets touch the strings. You need to have exposed magnets for this to work!

I just couldn't keep this inside any longer . . .

And no kidding, I have one of my students guitars that is in this exact condition. I brought it home to fix it for 'im. I should try this. Only I know no shred licks.
