They are set on a digital board because the guy they've hired to do our sound system suggested a digital board. I think the guy knows what he's doing, he just doesnt really have any ears. He actually likes protools. But hey, that's just me i guess. Anyways...they believe anything this guy says. So I have to provide checks and balances I guess. They listen to me somewhat. Not as much as him but enough that if i put up a good argument they'll listen.
 
Well, put up a good fight for analog, because that probably will be the best choice for the situation. However, they'll probably go with the advice they are paying for from the "expert".

In that case, I'd recommend the Yamaha O2R96. The Yamahas are very solid mature pieces of gear that once learned would be nice to have around. It's the only under 10 grand board I'd really feel completely comfortable recommending. Although as has been mentioned, the options you'll probably want for this board could esaily send it above the 10 grand mark.
