We host Thanksgiving at our house every year. My cousin (who plays drums) came down from up north this year also. He had never seen my studio/garage and one thing led to another and we started jamming a little. This year I talked my brother into singing a few songs. Of course he picked songs that I and my cousin havent played in ages. This one (Whole Lot Of Rosie) came out pretty good. The song isnt exactly the same as ACDC's. We played it from what we remembered (which is not correct). But anyway at the end of the song it is so funny what my sister says. Make sure you listen to the end, its priceless. http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=7101619&q=hi

You are guys are tight for not having played that song in a long time. Hard to get past the falsetto, but thems some big shoes he's got to fill.

She's right, next time you oughtta try an AC/DC cover.... :D

Cool man.

My brother is a big guy and that voice had us all laughing. Hes never tried to sing before and with a few beers in him it was easy to talk him into it :) Im gonna get him to sing more in the future.

This is sooo awesome :D. Well done. The guitar tone is brilliant, and the song is a good laugh.

Very tight and in time. What mics have you got on the guitars?

Shure 57 on the cab. Thats it. I added a DI'd Bass guitar and two more guitar tracks to it after we played it, to beef them up. One was another rhythm guitar and the other the lead. The amp was my Peavey JSX/XXX 412 cab. The gain on the amp I backed off quite a lot. I usually play with the gain at say 8 on the (goes to 10), but I backed it down to 5 for this tune. I was actually surprised by the sound. Especially since I wasnt using an SG. I had to fiddle with the eq on the amp, but it came out ok. I wrote the settings down also. I always find a tone I like and never write crap down. I did this time. Thanks again.

Hey good version. Nice mix too. Your bro does a pretty good job on the vocal, not easy tackling Bon Scott. Next time get him to smoke a carton of Rothmans and gargle a couple of ashtrays first, lol. Good job!

Cool fun - excellent results for what was essentially a jam - I actually like when he slips into he normal register - potential vocalist there indeed.
Did he use the Bon secret - ultra tight jeans pulled up really high?
Nice to know sis couldn't recognize it!
I approve!!! the only ACCADACKA I own these days is the Bonfire box set.

Thanks Ray. I cant imagine tight jeans on my brother. I wish I had the video camera rolling. He called yesterday and want to do some more. He has the bug now. My cousin the drummer wants to get involved too. I hope the do come back down. I liked jamming with others. Its usually just me or Im recording another band.
