Testing Home Capabilities - Your thoughts?

Hi there!

I recorded one of my originals to see what kind of sound I could get using my own gear and space. I recognize that it's far from a finished product, but I'd like to know if I'm developing any bad habits at home. Any and all feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I like it. Drums sound good and spacious. Guitar sound good too. I do think your lacking a lot of low end. Really hard to hear the bass. Good job
 
I thought this was good. The acoustic guitar and vocal sound more than a bit boxy. But the sound worked very well for this type of tune. Snare and kick sound good. Cymbals get a little swishy in spots.

Some background vocals would be a nice touch.

Overall it was good.
 
I liked it. good song with a good chord progression. i thought the acoustic sounded good. Very nice playing and use of dynamics and muted acoustic percussive strumming. It translated to the recording very well.

Sounds great to me, the mp3 wasn't very nice to the cymbals though. Maybe a higher bitrate or something would fix that?

Great song btw, hope you share some more!
