Terratec EWS88MT any good ?

1) I want to be able to record something like 8 seperate tracks silmultaneosly on my pc. Someone suggested the terratec. Is it any good, and what other cards are there?

2) I'll probably hire the mics but I'm thinking of getting a mixer ... could anone direct to a good selection of reviews? Unless of course someone wishes to review all mixers for me ...
 
Check out the Hoontech DSP24 with ADC/DAC2000 (aka c-port). It's pretty much a Terratec EWS88MT clone. I cannot say which is better but the hoontech setup is cheaper.
