Tentative setup?

Okay, after scouring the archives and posting a few times, I think I've got a tentative setup for my first foray into production. My goal is contemporary R&B though I don't expect anything professional quality right now, when I'm still a poor student. I guess what is most important for me is a solid drum program and the ability to record and mix multiple vocals for some good harmonies for the hooks and background. I'm only planning to work on a few tracks at a time, too, so please mind the weak computer, which will ultimately be replaced one day.

Athlon 1.2ghz, 512 ram, 20 gig hd, 40 gig hd

yamaha ez30 midi keyboard
m audio audiophile 2496 sound card
behringer 1240 pro mixer
shure sm58 mic
fruityloops
cubase se

Is there anything else I may be overlooking? Thanks for the help, too.

Though you don't say anything about the mobo you are going to use, you might want to opt for a mobo with the nForce chipset over VIA. Many have had problems with the VIA chipset, some may have been fixed with driver updates, but the nForce seems to be solid.

My 2 bits.
