Use the event editor.
in a separate (empty) pattern (make sure 'pat' is selected next to the play button)

right click on where you change the tempo and click 'edit events'

Use your mouse to draw how the tempo will change. While hovering your mouse in the event editor window if you look under the tools and help menus the nemerical value of the tempo is displayed there.

Whenever this pattern is in the playlist the tempo changes in the event editor will occur.

You can also use this technique to change volume, cut, res, effect parameters or just about anything.

Hope this helps

Where is the 'event editor'?

Are you talking about the Piano roll?

no i dont think hes talking about the pianno roll..Hes talking about when u right click on the tempo and u click edit event. But what i dont understand is how u change the tempo for only 1 patern with that.

and how u bring it back to its original tempo??
details plz
tx

I've attached a zipped loop package where I've just cot a 3xOSC playing the c major scale alternating between 100 and 140 bpm.
In pattern 2 right click on the tempo and click event editor to see how it's done. Just make sure that when you enter the events next to the play button the "pat" is selected because sometimes events can apply to the whole song, not pattern you've selected.
I allways put the events in a separate pattern than instruments just in case I don't want the event to occur in parts of the song.

When you download the file you do not have to extract the zip, just open the zip with FLstudio

enjoy.

You cannot change the tempo for only one pattern, why would you want to? It would be out of time with the rest of the song?

The example I have posted is how to change the tempo for the song and change it back again but there is no way you can have different tempo values for different patterns because its a universal setting.

Let me know what you're trying to do, post a zip and I'll have a crack

OK,the song is in 140bpm but then at one point of the song it goes to 180bpm for 4 mesures(length of 4 paterns)Then it goes back at 140bpm,and again later in the song the same thing and back again.
It should be able to do this..

ok i checked your zip..u changed the tempo within one patern?Me i want the tempo to stay change for 4 mesures then back again.

The numbers u see on top of the events tempo coarse,Are they for paterns or mesures?

The numbers are for measures i.e. 1 square in the playlist editor.
Anywhere i put the automation patter in the playlist, that tempo changes will occur.
Note The automation is 2 bars in duration and is played twice in the event editor, I st a 2 bar automation and repeated it.

I dont understand what u mean at all..Could u be more clear plz?
ALL I WANT IS TO CHANGE THE TEMPO THEN BE BACK AT THE SAME I WAS..

And if you open the zip that's exactly what I've done. The tempo changes, then it changes back using an the automation in pattern 2.

Just to make it even simpler I've done another example with a diagram. If you don't get that then FLstudio is probably too advanced for you.

What I've done is a simple solution. If you're seriously going to use FLstudio there's thinks you'll need to learn and understand that are much more complex than the event editor.

There we go, a silly 2 second job that goes at 140bpm for 4 bars. Then when the "140 to 180" automation pattern is played in the playlist editor, tempo will change to 180 for 4 bars

yeah, no shit... im not saying I dont know how, because i do.. and it is very easy, but obviously to that guy it isnt... and ramming that process down his neck isnt going to help him when he has absolutely no clue what youre talking about in the first place

He knows what I'm talking about, changing the tempo and changing it back again automatically. Mate, you say you can do it, if you think you can explain it simpler than using an example and diagrams, be my guest.
He says he wants the tempo to change from 140 to 180 for 4 bars and then back to 140, I made a little song that does exactly that and provided a diagram of how its done.
What else can I do, get my digital camera and take a video of how I do it?

Read his first post.

Sebcore, if you still cannot understand how I've set up an automation to change the tempo and change it back again, you are most definitely NOT good with FL just yet, but keep practicing cos you'll get there.
This is my advice to you. In the browser (if you can't see it go to the view menu and click 'browser') go to "projects" and then to "tutorial". Work through all of them and you'll learn a great deal.

Keep at it though, it's great fun. I've been using FL for almost 6 years now and I've come a looooooong way!

But after negative reps for helping a fellow FL user out, Sorry sebcore, you're on your own now.

Better watch out.

Enchilada is one tough customer. And a crabby one to boot.

He doles out anonymous negative rep.

And not just to any ol' body --- to anyone who can't read his mind or his poor explanations.
