Tempo/BPMs

I have desperately tried to use the edit tempo option in cool edit pro to change the Tempo/Bpms on my song (wav file) but it just doesn't detect or change it properly...need help! Any other programs to recomend? (would GREATLY appreciate it)

Are you using stretch? That's what I'd suggest.

Yes I have, but it doesn't give an accurate (or simple) Bpm....Pitch bend....let's say I want 135 BPMs I slide it to 135 but in actuall fact it's not accurate and it varies from song to song. Anybody ever used a program called "LOGIC AUDIO"?
