i like the prosonus cause of the fat channel and i can use for live recordings, i plan on getting the 27'' imac, tons of cable and mic stands, and im looking up studio foam and how much i would need, and guitar center gives u 6 free headphones when u buy the presonus hp60

You gonna take that imac with you on live gigs? I'm not saying that it can't be done, but a laptop would be so much easier. Of course it doesn't have a 27" screen either.

And read up about acoustic treatment, not foam. Foam does very little (from what I read).

I chose the iMac mainly for the studio just so I don't have to pay more money on 2 screens if I get a laptop, and taking it a long with me for live shows shouldn't be that big of a hassle I don't believe. And I'll check out the accoustic treatment and thanks for the info that foam doesn't do anything I appriciate it. Most studios around where I live use foam only

You're right. It shouldn't be a big deal at all to take it live shows. When I record live shows I take my PC. But, I built a pc in a small case just for this.

And read up about acoustic treatment. I'm by no means an expert, but I've read a lot......mostly that foam only treats the high frequencies.

I still think the Yamaha would be better - really good compression and gates on every channel, 4 band parametric eq, reverb etc etc

Lots of inputs too AND lots of different routing options.

the yamaha 01v96vcm???? the other reason i pcked the presonus is because im using there demo of studio 1 to get used to it and i like it alot
