Hey Everyone,

I posted some of my older tunes (from 2 years ago) on a Myspace site. They're at http://www.myspace.com/miketopash

Tell me what you think. I want to know if you think they're worth re-recording. I want to change some lyrics, arrangements, and solos. So if you could suggest some improvements to them, I'd be very greatful. Honestly though, I'm not sure if they're worth the effort cause I don't know if people will like them, so let me know if you think they are.

I listened to the 1st one.
Yeah it's worth reworking. I'd DUMP the jaunty rhythm though. Listen to a couple of Donavon songs - you have a vocal resemblance - for a range of strums & rhythms that suit your vocal style.
I'd suggest you rethink some of the lead lines/tones too.

Thanks for the feedback man. Yeah, I know exactly what you're saying. Whenever I play that song now the rhythm is far less jaunty and more forgiving to the vocals. You mean the lead lines of the solos right?

God I hate that Smiley commercial that screams HELLO everytime.....

Through and Through.....familiar guitar progression but original vocal melody....VERY nice voice man...it suits the acoustic song genre very well.
Would put some reverb on that lead line and take it down a touch...sounds like a tape recording (lots of hiss). Definitely worth re-recording this.....be sure and post the new mix so we can enjoy....
